The luxurious new hospitality area, ‘The Tunnel Club’, will bring fans closer to the players at the Etihad Stadium and is believed to be the first Hospitality Suite of its kind in Europe.
Verteda has implemented more than 30 integrated iPads running their Voyager 1 mobile Point of Sale application to help provide an outstanding guest service to supporters in The Tunnel Club. In the next few months, the stadium will also deploy Verteda’s Primo and Variance applications. Primo provides a live data feed of actionable operational information for sports and entertainment venues, delivering new management insights drawn from multiple systems – including sales performance, stock Par levels, financial data, cash and card splits and stock and cash incident alerts – provided ‘in flight’ to improve the operator experience and support more informed management decision-making. At the same time, the Variance real-time stock reconciliation application will help to reduce food and labour costs and waste, while increasing productivity through more flexible and focused centralised controls.
The revamp of the 57,000-capacity Etihad Stadium, which includes a new state-of-the-art circular dressing room for players, will be completed ahead of the next Premier League season. The wide-ranging project is taking place under the Colin Bell Stand, and includes the luxurious new executive lounges and glass players’ tunnel, with VIP guests able to see the club’s stars lining-up before matches.. Guests will also be able to view team line-ups and watch highlights on large screens above the bar, view post-match interviews in a special room, and walk down their own tunnel to their pitch side seats. Hospitality and Public Concourse catering at the Etihad Stadium is provided by Fabulous Fan Fayre Ltd (F3), who were appointed in 2013 and have since gone on to win various industry awards for their events and matchday fan experience.
