Contactless Visitor Registration
Across Australia and the UK as venues start to reopen, governments are mandating the capture of contact details of visitors as a requirement of entry. It’s important to remember that you have to capture data for all visitors, not just customers, but employees, suppliers and on-site contractors as well. For a lot of venues, this has meant manually writing down contact details, which creates a lot of paperwork, is time consuming and inefficient.
A contactless visitor registration solution lets your visitors provide their contact details using their smartphone. This reduces bottlenecks at your entry and ensures you are complying with regulations around both the collection and storage of your visitors contact details.
How does is work?
Contactless visitor registration is accessed via your visitors smartphone and it’s fast and easy to install and use. Your visitors register their details online in 3 simple steps:
1. At the entry to your venue your visitors scan a prominently positioned QR Code using their smartphone camera.
2. A web app opens on your visitors smartphone, where they can register their contact details as required by Government legislation.
3. Your visitors data is transmitted securely using enterprise level security, all data is hosted in Australia or the UK based on your location, in line with the requirements of government regulations.
Your visitors details are remembered using a cookie, so when they visit again, a simple QR Code scan is all that’s needed. A back office reporting app gives you access to the data wherever or whenever it’s needed.
What about manual data?
A lot of venues have already collected manual data, or have some visitors who can’t or don’t want to register using a smartphone. You can manually enter data, which means that you still have a single source of data.
Accessing and storing data
All visitor data collected is transmitted and stored securely in the cloud. Full back of house access to the data is accessed via an app and can be used to support contact tracing efforts if required.
Each government has different requirements about how and when data that has been collected can be used, so make sure you check your obligations around data use.
